I had read a lot of mixed reviews on this book and after reading it I understand. If you looking for a typical Peretti book with a strong line of redemption throughout, you won’t find it in this book. What you will find is a story that will entertain you and thrill you and might even scare you a little. If you are offended by a “scary thriller” then you won’t enjoy the story, but if you like a well written novel then this is worth the read.
One of the things I look for in a Christian novel, is a line of redemption. In the sense of a life changing decision, it didn’t have one. But it did have an obvious God is working throughout. This is a wonderful story of soul searching and coming to terms with ones past and dealing with the “demons.”
This is book two in the “Teri Blake-Addison” series. Almost as good as the first one. Though you wil figure out the “who” probably half-way through the book. The ending seems to come together in a quick “neat” little package with a couple of surprises.
Overall, it was an enjoyable story that reminds of us the importance of the “physical” body of Christ and being involved with our Church families.
