What I’ve been Reading

The holidays are over and it’s time to get back into the swing of things with What I’m Reading…

But first off the winner of the Ragamuffin Bible was Doreen H. from Maryland. Thanks to everyone who entered. There will be at least one give away in January.

I set a goal of 75 books last year and on December 31st I finished the 75th book Welcome to Fred. If you would like you can view the complete list here.  I’ve set my goal for 75 again, I honestly don’t think I could read more than that.

So right now I’m reading the newest Smitten book, Smitten Book Club, by Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Denise Hunter, and Diann Hunt. I’ve only read the first section by Colleen Coble, but it has me “smitten.” (Sorry I couldn’t resist). This is a fun book. The authors have introduced some new characters as well as favorite ones from the first two books. I’m looking forward to what will happen with Molly.

Another book I’m reading is Lisa Lickel’s book The Map Quilt. It’s a second book in her “Lost Treasure” series. I like the main characters, Judy and Hart. This is a mystery which I really enjoy. So far this one has been pretty good. This author hasn’t developed her skills as much as Coble and Billerbeck, but she has lots of potential and I’m looking forward to see how this story develops.

Yes, I’m reading a third book, What Once Was Lost, by Kim Vogel Sawyer. I’m reading this one for review and it is a paperback, so I’ll be giving it away. This has already been a touching book and I look forward to see what happens between Tommy and Levi. But from reading the back cover there’s a lot more conflict to come.

I’m in the early parts of all three of these books. But I think each will offer things to think about and be enjoyable reads.

More to come!

I love to read, especially mystery books. Though in the past couple of years I've been a part of the ACFW Book Club and have found some wonderful writers. It's been fun to interact with authors.
