Secrets, Lies, & Alibis – Patricia H. Rushford

This is the 4th book I’ve read by Patricia Rushford, and I think it is my favorite. Although, all of her books have been excellent. With Angel Delaney you have a young lady trying to please her father by being a cop. I’ve read 2 of the 3 books in the series and look forward to getting my hands on book 3.

Then you have the Helen Bradley Series, where our heroine is a grandmother. Interestingly, enough the grandmother to a character from another Rushford series, Jeannie McGrady. Another series that I look forward to reading more about.

I’ve enjoyed the other two series so much I wanted to check out the McAllister Files. It was an excellent story. The nice thing about all of the Rushford series’ is they keep you guessing until almost the end of the story. Which I enjoy very much. This story is fast paced with great characters. You see our hero develop as a cop and as a person searching for the truth.

This is a great book for anyone who enjoys CSI or Law & Order type shows. The author spends a great deal of time really explaining the process of gathering evidence and conducting an investigation. She does it in a well written, engaging storyline. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this book!
