What I’ve Been Reading

Since my last installment I’ve finished some books and even started another one and finished it!

I finally finished The Living Room. I am glad I finished it, even though at times I wanted to walk away from it. The main character drove me crazy at times, however, the overall story was really good. As always, Robert Whitlow weaves solid Biblical principles that remind us how we should live. I’ll be writing my formal review and doing a give away this Tuesday.

I started reading Christy Barritt’s book The Good Girl.  It was a very entertaining. One of the things I enjoy about Christy Barritt’s books is her main character. Tara Lancaster was raised in the church and lived a perfect life following all the rules. But it didn’t seem to matter and now Tara is living in disgrace and questioning the existence of God. I love the way the author develops her characters.

I’m still working on Francis Chan’s Multiply  and Faith DareSadly my life has been so crazy that I’ve had a hard time staying caught up on Faith Dare it’s a really good study that challenges and encourages me. I hope to do the full 30 days in order again soon. Multiply has been really good. I’ve never read one of Francis Chan’s books but I understand why people love them so much. He’s down to earth but also lines things up with scripture. The section I’m on now is focusing on the importance of the Bible and studying the Bible for the right reason and in the right way.

This week I’m planning to start the newest in the Psalm 23 Mysteries by Debbie Viguie, In the Paths of Righteousness. This has been such a great series, I love the main characters, especially, Jeremiah and Cindy. This one we’ll get to know Cindy’s adventurous brother, Kyle. Should be good!!

Anyone care to share what they’re reading this week????

I love to read, especially mystery books. Though in the past couple of years I’ve been a part of the ACFW Book Club and have found some wonderful writers. It’s been fun to interact with authors.

Welcome! I appreciate your thoughts!
