671517: Book of Days Book of Days
By James L. Rubart / B&H Books

What if you were losing your most treasured memories? Of your wife who passed away, of your dad who died far too young? What if you heard of a book where all of those memories are recorded and you could get them back? And what if this book also told your future? Would you believe it? Would you go on a desperate search for it, holding onto a strand of hope it would bring healing and answer all your questions?

Young Cameron Vaux’s mind is slipping. Memories of his wife, killed two years earlier in a car accident, are vanishing just as his late father predicted they would. Memories he knows are critical to remember. But his only hope for answers, and a cure, seems to lie in search for a book–and a God–he doesn’t believe in.

My Review: This is the third Rubart book I’ve read. I loved Rooms, enjoyed The Chair and I can honestly say I really enjoyed Book of Days.  The storyline is intriguing to say the least. A wondrous book that holds everything that you’ve ever done as well as what will happen in the future. For Cameron it’s his only hope as his mind is slipping away and his only hope is finding this book of days beloved late wife tells him to search for just moments before her death. You also have Ann Bannister the foster sister of Cameron’s late wife is on her on quest to find out where she came from.

This story is an very good mystery with adventure as Cameron and Ann search for their past as well as their future. They also meet with many obstacles in this journey. The book also gives you time to reflect on your own past and what the future might hold. The author does a great job pulling the focus back where it should be, there is only one who knows the future and our job while on earth is to trust in that one true source.

This is a good story for anyone who likes a little mystery along with some adventure. If you don’t mind a story that is a little far fetched you’ll enjoy this story.

I received this book free through a book give away. As always I’ve tried to give you my honest opinion on my thoughts regarding this story.
