Three women swerve to avoid the potholes as they travel the rocky road to love! Widow Lydia questions whether her suitors are vying for her heart—or her money. NASA supervisor Leslie wonders if she should trust the nosy astronaut or the menacing FBI agent. And Camara’s racing car is sabotaged. Will her competitor become her friend?
The past couple of days I read The Bride Wore Coveralls by Debra Ullrick. Romance is not my first choice for my reading pleasure, but I had heard good things about the story so I decided to read it. (Plus I won the book in a contest)
I am SO glad I did. This was an extremely entertaining story. Having grown up in Oklahoma I could relate with some of the attitudes Camara faced trying to be a successful woman in a male dominated area.
This story was well written and fast paced. The ending is a little predictable but Mrs. Ullrick does an excellent job getting us to the end with some “surprises.”
One of my favorite things about this story is the spiritual development of both Chase and Camara. They were very real in their faith, and I loved seeing them both turning to prayer frequently. It was a good reminder.
I look forward to reading the other two stories included in the book.
