Terri Blackstock is an amazing writer. I’ve read her Newpointe 911 series, Cape Refuge, Suncoast Chronicles, and her Restoration Series. Each one of them was uniquely different. This is true for Double Minds as well.
This story takes you behind the scenes of Christian Music in Nashville. The characters have different issues that they need to overcome. You watch their lives unfold and in some cases unravel and through it you may see yourself in one or more characters. (I know I did!)
Again Terri does a great job with the suspense and I was somewhat surprised at the "whys" behind whodunit. (Ok, I was a lot surprised!) However, unlike many of Terri Blackstock’s books there isn’t a blatant line of redemption in this story. (Line of redemption = a key character coming to Christ by the end of the story) However, there is evidence of God’s redeeming work in several characters’ lives.
If you like a story with solid characters, a storyline that moves a good pace and of course, a dead body within the first few pages, then this is a great read for you.
