This is the first book in a Trilogy and the first book I’ve read by Wales and Shope. I have to admit I did know I would finish it. However, I really don’t like not finishing a story. Since I started the books I read I’ve only not finished two books.
I have to admit I ended up enjoying this book. Jill Lewis starts out being some what an annoying personality. I’m not a big fan of reporters, they’re only a step or two above lawyers.
The story did grow on me and I found myself up late more than one night to finish it.
This is a story of turning back to the roots of one’s faith. Jill also has to face some ugly truths about herself and her family. She has to learn what it means to trust God when everyone around her fails her.
I look forward to reading the other 2 books in the trilogy.
